Rates and Insurance
Pricing
Session Rate: $170 per 50-minute session
There are cases when extending sessions (EMDR sessions) or shortening them (to meet the developmental stage) is appropriate; in both circumstances, the session rate is pro-rated.
Initial Parent Intake Session: $255 for 80 minutes
At this one-time parent intake session, we will discuss how you are hoping I can help, symptoms and behaviors you're observing, as well as a thorough history for your child.
Insurance
In order to provide therapy at a client-centered pace without restrictions, I do not work directly with insurance companies.
If your plan includes out-of-network coverage for mental health care and you wish to submit for reimbursement, I can provide an insurance superbill with all required information. Unsure if your plan includes coverage for out-of-network mental health care? I encourage you to call and learn more.
Conversely, please consider the benefits of not using insurance:
- No diagnosis required
- Mental health diagnosis will not be added to medical record
- Insurance companies will never ask for therapy note information
- Treatment duration and frequency freedom
Medicaid does not allow clients to pay out-of-pocket for services and therefore, I am unable to work with clients with Medicaid.
Good Faith Estimates
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
- You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees
- You may request a Good Faith Estimate in advance of an already scheduled psychotherapy session or at any point during your treatment.
- If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill
- Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call the Colorado Division of Insurance at 303-894-7490 or 1-800-930-3745.
